About Us

The Original 33 Foundation is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the 33 Black men elected to Georgia’s General Assembly in 1868—leaders who were wrongfully expelled because of their race. We honor their courage by promoting education, civic engagement, and social justice. Through advocacy and community programs, we carry their work forward to inspire change and empower future generations.
